Euromoney and the ECBC are delighted to announce the return of the Covered Bond Roadshow in 2022. Following the success of the 2021 Roadshow series, we look forward to bringing our global audience back together once again over the coming months.

Taking place between March and June, the series will include a mix of both virtual and in-person events, each focusing on a different topic and providing a platform for the international covered bond community to come together, to raise questions, to share ideas and to debate the key issues and themes that are driving our market.

The Roadshow series will bring together the leading issuers, investors, intermediaries and policymakers from every corner of the covered bond market globally.

The implications of growth: Canadian covered bonds – 29th March

Canadian banks enjoyed a record year of covered bond issuance in 2021 and the coming 12 months are set to be just as active. In our upcoming panel we will ask:

  • What are the underlying drivers of growth in the Canadian market?
  • Covered bonds vs securitisation vs senior debt: optimising the funding mix
  • Growing the issuer base – how to galvanise issuance from new players
  • What will it take to build a real green covered bond market in Canada?
  • Equal treatment for Canadian covered bonds? Prospects for a full equivalence regime between Canada and the EU

We look forward to tackling these topics and more during our virtual discussion in March.

This one-hour panel discussion will take place on the virtual event platform, Swapcard.
