Chiomenti joins ECBC

Brussels, 05 April 2018 – For immediate release

 

The European Covered Bond Council (ECBC) is pleased to announce that Chiomenti (www.chiomenti.net) has become the latest member to join the Council. Accordingly, as of April 2018, the ECBC represents 120 members across more than 30 active covered bond jurisdictions around the world.

 

Chiomenti is an Italian law firm with approximately 300 attorneys and tax advisers based in Rome, Milan, London, Brussels, New York, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

 

Commenting on Chiomenti’s admission to the ECBC, Luca Bertalot, ECBC Secretary General, said:

 

“In the light of the implementation of the upcoming CB legislative framework, we are delighted to further reinforce  our legal capabilities, with Chiomenti’s support. This will enhance the ECBC’s role as a market hub during the transposition process of the future EU Covered Bond Directive into national legislative framework details, guaranteeing an appropriate level of harmonisation whilst respecting well-functioning national characteristics”
