The European Mortgage Federation (EMF) is pleased to announce that the Spanish Association for Value Analysis (AEV), has become the latest institution to join the Federation.
The Spanish Association for Value Analysis currently comprises 28 members, 22 appraisals companies and six real state consultancy firms, which combined perform 90% of the mortgage valuations carried out in Spain, all of them with an explicit vocation for professional independence and quality in their work. The AEV is also a member of The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), and the Spanish Mortgage Association (AHE).
Commenting on the AEV’s admission as a member, Luca Bertalot, EMF-ECBC Secretary General said:
“We are very pleased to welcome the Spanish Association for Value Analysis as an EMF member. Valuations have long been a cornerstone of the mortgage business and are all the more important today in the context of assessing the impact of climate and environmental risk on collateral values and therefore on consumers, lending institutions’ balance sheets and financial stability as a whole. AEV’s membership will be of valuable support for the EMF in understanding evolving valuation issues.”
Eduardo Serra, Chairman of the AEV commented:
