Covered Bond Label’s growing presence in Central & Eastern Europe: Prima Banka joins the family

Brussels, 19 September 2019 – For immediate release

The Covered Bond Label Foundation (CBLF) is pleased to announce that Prima Banka is the first Slovakian issuer to join the Covered Bond Label. As of today, the total number of cover pools under the Covered Bond Label stands at 130 which have been granted to 110 issuers across 20 jurisdictions globally.

Commenting on this development, Luca Bertalot, Covered Bond Label Foundation Administrator, said:

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Prima Banka as the first Slovakian issuer to join the Covered Bond Label family. This most recent addition shows once again the Industry’s commitment to transparency through the implementation of the Harmonised Transparency Template (HTT) and reinforces the pivotal role played by the Covered Bond Label.”

The Covered Bond Label is a quality label, the purpose of which is to highlight the security and quality of covered bonds to investors and to further enhance recognition of and trust in the covered bond asset class.

The Covered Bond Label is open to all covered bond programmes that are compliant with the Covered Bond Label Convention and disclose their data by publishing the Harmonised Transparency Template (HTT).
