On  20 February 2019, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published its Consumer Trends Report for 2018 and 2019, which reflects trends observed in the European Union regarding the retail and banking products and services that fall within the EBA’s consumer protection mandate.

The report is structured in two sections:

• the first one focuses on the state of play of the main retail banking products and services, and
• the second one addresses the topical issues relevant to consumers and identified by different stakeholders, including CAs, national and EU consumer association, the members of the Financial Dispute Resolution Network and EU industry associations.
